isolés - inside the new Store & Design Studio

After four years in the virtual world of online, isolés has a place it can call home, a location where our brand can be seen, touched and experienced in real time.
For us, it’s a dream come true.

Meet an isolés - Johan Sahlin, Magnus Äppelryd and the Swedish Soul

The calendar says spring, and for Swedish Scania there is a little spring in the air although not exactly as the pros would enjoy it in Southern Europe. This is icy cold and blue skies. Johan Sahlin and Magnus Äppelryd, the founders of the Swedish niche watch brand Bravur, are keeping warm in a cafe on the harbour in Båstad. Magnus nurses an espresso, Johan a cappuccino.

Meet an isolés - Mikael Kyneb finds his way out of the darkness

It's a little cold this morning, cold and grey, but Copenhagen is buzzing. The traffic is intense and it feels as if road works are everywhere. One train after another departs from Østerbro Station, the hum of iron on rail cutting through the air. The city still looks a little sad after a long winter, but there is beauty in Copenhagen, even in chilly, grey February.

isolés & friends - Vejle

It’s early on the Sunday after new year, and just outside Vejle atop the imposing Munkebjerg, nine riders meet for the first time in 2022. Memories of new year celebrations are already fading away, like the surrounding forest into the mist. Thoughts have turned to riding, and a coffee and croissant to lift the spirit on this damp morning.

This is my Paris-Roubaix / This is my isolés

It's early Sunday morning in Valenciennes in the French department of Nord - close to the Belgian border. The hotel hums with activity, the classic architecture unchanged for decades. It is as if we are in a scene from an old French movie. A rider sits at the breakfast table getting ready, just as he might have done 125 years ago. Freshly baked baguettes and croissants fill the bread basket, alongside it, local French cheese and homemade blueberry jam. Freshly squeezed orange juice and a strong espresso, brewed in the French style, help to complete his meal.

Meet an isolés - Jesper Grundahl and the Music

It is a typical late summer day in North Zealand. Typical in an unpredictable way. The sun battles intensely with heavy clouds, which periodically dump violent showers onto the landscape. This dampens the warm air, which is thick with the scent of fresh rain.

Meet an isolés - Gabriel Enamorado and The Joshua Tree

Gabriel Enamorado has packed the car and is on his way to adventure, heading out of town, away from everyday life in Los Angeles and into the desert.
His destination is the Joshua Tree National Park, part of the Mojave desert in southeastern California, a location considered sacred by many and one that Gabriel has visited many times before.

Meet an isolés - Mads Christensen and the long rides

It's 5.45am and pitch dark outside. The thermometer is reading 4 degrees and the only brightness on this dark and grey December morning comes from the twinkling Christmas lights that festoon the small towns.

After a few weeks of preparations, Mads Christensen is ready to set off on his next trip - a 335km Gravel ride around Funen, starting from his home in Gårslev, south of Vejle.

You can compare the atmosphere in a busy kitchen to the mood before an important bike race. Everyone is focused, working at their peak, in the knowledge that soon their efforts will be put to the test. Attention to detail is essential, everything must be 100 per cent in order.
Journey of an isolés - How it all started

Journey of an isolés - How it all started

For me cycling is about enjoyment.
When you take up a sport as an young child, it is often because it is fun.
Then comes the dream - to become the best in the world at this sport. Whether it is cycling or soccer.
Back to the Roots

Back to the Roots

The birthplace of my experience as an isolés was in Tuscany. I fell in love with the place on gentle climbs surrounding San Baronto, a sense of newfound independence and individualism that rose with the grade. A dream of mine had brought me to Italy, as I was selected to ride for the Finauto Yomo Sport Team U23 Squad.
Care for Details

Care for Details

Ask any rider how they feel about their kit, and they’ll mention the little things—the pocket in the perfect spot, the super comfortable collar, or the taper of the sleeve. Sometimes, it’s more about the little things you don’t notice, like seams that never rub, a zipper that never catches, or bib shorts that don’t move around on the leg.
