• Recycled polyester
• Recycled elastane
• Recycled nylon

These materials can contribute with good durability, stretchability, and excellent ability to transport sweat away from the body.

Polyester

Polyester is used particularly in  the production of outer layers, such as windbreakers and cycling jackets, and it is, in short, the plastic that is associated with cycling clothing. Since polyester largely does not absorb water (hydrophobic), it will therefore also be extremely quick-drying, which is also the reason why it is used to a large extent on the Danish market - due to the unpredictable weather.

Advantages : Light, strong, does not absorb water and therefore dries quickly. It also provides an impressive amount of warmth in relation to its weight.

Disadvantages : Not quite as strong an outer material as, for example, nylon, will quickly smell if you use it as a base layer, great environmental impact if it is not recycled.

Elastane

Cycling clothing is primarily made of elastane - also known as lycra. Elastane is a synthetic fiber known for high elasticity and strength. When the garment is in production, elastane is typically used in blends with other fibers to provide increased stretchability.
Large parts of elastane are found in cycling clothing, such as BIB shorts, short and long cycling jerseys, and cycling clothing known as loose legs, loose knees and loose sleeves. In other words, pretty much everything that sits close to your body. Elastane is less common in outer layers such as cycling jackets and windbreakers, as a stretchy nylon/elastane mixture will be less durable than a pure nylon textile.

Advantages : Elastane blends are soft and stretchy, and elastane in a material will often provide a better fit and freedom of movement.

Disadvantages : Elastane content will make the strongest materials, for example nylon, a little weaker. Stretchability is not always a good feature.

Nylon

Nylon is a sustainable material known as "rPET-nylon" (recycled PET nylon), which most often ends up as asphalt. The primary benefit of recycled nylon is the positive impact on the environment, helps to reduce plastic pollution, and it typically requires less energy and water compared to the production of conventional nylon
